Applications are now OPEN for the 2025 Eventing Ireland Youth Ambassador.
Our 2025 Youth Ambassador will love Eventing, compete on a regular basis, have a proven record with EI (at least one season’s worth of experience) and enjoy content creation! The Youth Ambassador is a representative for Pony, Junior and Young riders in our sport at national level, who will help to promote the sport of Eventing through engagement on social/electronic media by providing content throughout the season.
In return, Eventing Ireland will offer the Youth Ambassador free riding membership for the year.
The Youth Ambassador must:
- Be over the age of 14
- Be prepared to share both the highs and any lows of their season, representing the reality of Eventing
- Be able to write and communicate well
- Be familiar with putting together reels for social media
- Have the support of parents/friends to assist in taking video/photo footage
- Be able to submit content on a regular basis (minimum one submission per month) throughout the year, not just the Eventing Season
The ideal Youth Ambassador would:
- Event regularly throughout the season (once or twice per month minimum)
- Train regularly with a coach who is happy to share footage from sessions
- Have outlined goals for the 2025 season, which they are happy to share
- Plan to compete at least one International event in 2025
- Be comfortable speaking to camera – we may do a video profile piece or interview with you!
To apply: compile a reel (1 minute in length), or a photo slideshow, along with a short-written report (no more than 2,200 characters) on an aspect of Eventing 2024 (an event report, training report or a season roundup) OR an introduction to yourself and your horse/pony. Applications should be submitted to [email protected] by Monday 9th December.
Please note: if you are under the age of 18, your application MUST be submitted by a parent/guardian
Applications will be judged based on the visual media and quality of the writing. Visual media does not need to be in HD res but must be of a resolution and quality suitable for social media.
Applications will be confidential and will not be shared outside of EI Head Office. Head Office will notify the successful applicant by in early January.
