HSI announce DAFM Eventing Development Series dates for 2024

Horse Sport Ireland, in conjunction with the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, is delighted to launch the dates and venues for the 2024 DAFM Eventing Development Series.

This year, as in previous years, the DAFM Eventing Development Series will run as five standalone legs with over €37,000 in funding available across the league with prizes for 4-, 5-, 6-&7-Year-Old horses and ponies as well as breeders’ prizes.

In 2024, there will be three Arena Eventing legs of the series, at Lisgarvan House, Milchem EC and Wexford EC.

Two legs of the series, Coilog EC and The Meadows EC will feature Combined Training classes for 4-, 5- and 6-&7-Year-Old horses and pony-only Combined Training classes for 5- and 6-&7-year-old ponies.

The DAFM Eventing Development Series, delivered by Horse Sport Ireland; the National Federation, is open to all horses registered in a Studbook, main or supplementary section, with a specific breed documented within.  This can include main section studbook equines OR supplementary section studbook equines.  Ponies must also have a studbook passport with a breed recorded to be eligible to compete and receive prize money.  Horses and ponies with Identity Documents are not eligible to compete.

Breeders prizes will only be paid to breeders residing on the island of Ireland.

The dates and venues for the 2024 DAFM Eventing Development Series are as follows :

15th September: Lisgarvan House, Ballon, Co. Carlow (Arena Eventing) Entries open on Monday HERE

Either October 12th or 13th: Milchem EC, Tynagh, Co. Galway (Arena Eventing)

Either October 19th or 20th: Coilog EC, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare (Combined Training)

October 26th: Wexford EC, Tomhaggard, Co. Wexford (Arena Eventing)

November  3rd: Meadows EC, Lurgan, Co. Armagh (Combined Training
