Finance
Management Accounts will be available at the end of November, it has not been a good year as entries and membership are down 10% on last year and registrations are up 2%. The 2025 budget process has already commenced and will be brought to the December Board for approval.
The conversion to a CLG is making progress, the process was delayed due to the submission of the 2023 Financial Statements. Members will have the opportunity to review the new Constitution in the new year.
Management Committee
The Management Committee will meet with the Stewards Committee to review 2024 and put plans in place for 2025
The Management Committee plan to meet with event organisers over the winter to prepare for 2025. Caroline Neville, Health & Safety will also be included in the process.
Fall stats presented show that both athlete and horse falls are on a par with last year. Ireland’s completion and fall analysis is comparatively positive internationally.
Stewards and Officials
There will be an active campaign to recruit new Stewards and Officials in 2025. Please watch the website for updates. Training will be organised for the new year.
Child Safeguarding
Twenty-three officials have now got their Level 1 Child Safeguarding. Two further courses are available for officials in November.
Regional Forum
The Regional Forum met and discussed a number of topics including Dates for 2025, ways to encourage new or lapsed venues back to Eventing. The Forum will also be looking at ways to implement the Strategic Plan
Nominations Committee
Progress is being made on appointing a co-opt member to the Board who specialises in law. An advert for a Board member with business expertise will be published shortly.
Volunteers
We are making significant efforts to recruit and retain volunteers and, as always, we are looking at ways to encourage volunteer participation from all age groups.
HSI
Eventing Ireland recently met with HSI and discussed the possibility of hosting European Championships in the future. Funding of the High-Performance programme was discussed. Eventing Ireland will continue to engage with HSI on the matter.
