The National Championships isn’t just about being the best rider in your class – it’s also about the team that surround you!
Eventing Ireland and Beesley&Co would like to recognise the hard work of the grooms behind the scenes – every day, rain, shine, snow or wind. Whether it’s a professional yard with 20 horses or a parent grooming for their son or daughter, horses do not groom themselves! Beesley&Co founder, Georgina Beesley, knows well the dedication and hard work of Eventing grooms: “You can have the horse, the training and everything in between but if your day doesn’t run smoothly chances are your dressage test isn’t going to either. Your groom needs to know you as much as they need to know your horse, a bad day can be made better by a friend who’s more than likely your groom too! Grooms aren’t just people who tack-up and untack – they are there when your alarm goes off at 3am and they are still with you on the journey home some 12 hours later whether you’ve had a great day or a not so great day!”
All you need to do to nominate your groom is fill out the online form HERE telling us in less than 1000 words why they should win the Beesley&Co Best Groom 2024. Submissions will close once entries for the National Championships close.
The Beesley&Co Best Groom will be awarded a €200 Beesley&Co voucher, along with an engraved piece of BeesleyCo Equestrian Jewellery.
The winning Groom will be presented on Saturday evening of the National Championships, so the groom must be at the National Championships for the presentation.
