2024 International Dates: Note from EI Board

We would like to update you regarding the allocation of the 2024 International Dates as there seems to be a lot of misinformation circulating around the membership.

As per the normal process, all event organisers were invited to submit applications for international dates.  We were delighted to receive seven applications from five venues.  However, with limited space on the calendar, and as per our Rules, there must be a minimum of 3 weeks from the first day of dressage for CCI-S events and four weeks for CCI-L events.

All venues had applied to run CCI-L, long format, competitions meaning there must be a minimum of 4 weeks from the first day of dressage between each venue.

The Board was in full agreement that a new venue would be an asset to the Irish International Calendar.

In order to facilitate all applications fairly, in depth discussions over a number of weeks were had with two venues to resolve the dates.  Unfortunately, despite best efforts, one venue declined the offered date.

The Eventing Ireland Board was hugely disappointed in the decision.

The 2024 International dates have now been ratified by the Board, submitted to HSI and are now on the FEI Calendar as follows:
